TAL International Container Corp. will receive a $290,000 assist from the state to renovate its world headquarters in Purchase.
Empire State Development directors on Thursday approved the economic development grant to fund part of renovation costs at the company”™s 27,718-square-foot office space at 100 Manhattanville Road on the Centre at Purchase campus.
Empire State officials said the renovations aid serves to keep the company in New York, where it has 67 full-time employees and two full-time contract employees and plans to add one full-time position.
One of the largest leasers of intermodal freight containers, TAL International operates 17 offices in 11 countries and approximately 216 third-party container depot facilities in 39 countries.
