After reaching a $486 million deal to acquire Greenfield Online Inc. and its Ciao shopping Web sites, Microsoft Corp. as planned flipped the Wilton company”™s online marketing survey business to ZM Capital L.P., a private equity firm with a New York City office.
Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft did not immediately detail what ZM Capital is paying for Greenfield Online”™s marketing survey business, which will remain based in Wilton as a privately held company.
It is the first acquisition by ZM Capital, which is owned by ZelnickMedia L.L.C. The company”™s chief executive officer is Strauss Zelnick, a Wesleyan University graduate who was chief executive officer of BMG Entertainment.
