Xerox Corp. introduced a new platform May 9 to help employers and their employees manage health care spending accounts.
The program is the latest in a series of services Xerox and its subsidiaries have created for businesses to simplify health care plans for employees. The Norwalk company is in the midst of a major shift from specializing almost exclusively in printing and document management to being a business services provider.
Through an online portal, BenefitWallet, Xerox aims to streamline account funding and management, simplify communication and customer service and increase benefit enrollment and account openings.
“The use of health care spending accounts is growing rapidly as a result of both health care reform and the overall increase in health benefit costs,” said Gregg Larson, managing director of Healthcare Consumerism at Xerox, in a statement.
BenefitWallet allows users to visually see costs with their claims history so they can view, manage and pay for claims for various providers. It also can flag claims and errors to present saving opportunities.
