Stamford Downtown”™s Retail Committee has launched a Retail Pop-Up Program to attract experiential and innovative retailers, independent brands and e-commerce entrepreneurs to the city”™s retail streets.
The program is geared to appeal to a wide range of Stamford”™s demographic population, with a goal of activating five to 10 storefronts this year.
The Retail Pop-Up Program kicked off with men”™s clothing boutique J.Hilburn taking 95 Bedford St. from April 22 to June 22. The retailer is sponsoring Thursday night events with weekly guest partners including Worth New York and W by Worth (luxury womenswear); The Style Shed with unique home accessories; Caroline Taylor Events, specializing in high-end weddings and corporate events; Bow & Knot, a bridesmaids collection; and Jade Active, a fitness fashion boutique.
Two art gallery pop-ups are coming in June. 96 Bedford St. will host a photography exhibition titled “Image Conscious” for three weeks beginning June 7, while the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists will be exhibiting at 95 Bedford St. Both galleries will be featured in the upcoming Artwalk event in downtown Stamford on June 28.
