William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury residential real estate franchise with offices throughout Fairfield County, recently added a second building to its 3 Roxbury Road, Stamford, location.
The firm’s original office building at the site was an 800-square-foot former schoolhouse acquired from Juner Properties Inc. in 2009. The 200-year-old structure was renovated by Juner Properties in 1986 and again this year by Sotheby’s. It will now serve as a showroom.
The second building on the property is a former church that Sotheby’s moved from another site and reconstructed at 3 Roxbury Road. The 4,500-square-foot building, built in 1870, will act as office space for the brokerage and has been “renovated with respect to preserving its historical significance,” according to the company. The additional space gives the firm more room to grow its sales force, said Andrew Wood, a company spokesman.
The cost of the construction and renovations were not disclosed. The company said it plans to keep growing its staff and brand.
“As far as new hires, I can”™t say that this was done as a response to a specific number of people joining our company, but our goal is to grow our North Stamford presence,” Wood said. “We are always hiring and looking out for both new and experienced agents who are talented and a great fit with the Sotheby”™s International Realty brand.”
