NORWALK – Riko’s Pizza has moved its take-out-only location on Connecticut Avenue to a full-service restaurant on New Canaan Avenue.
The new restaurant, which had its grand opening today, is located at 85 New Canaan Ave. With this opening the eatery franchise known for super-thin crust tavern-style pies and extensive selection of craft drinks has brought all of its locations into the full-service model.
“The wait is over,” said Rico Imbrogno, co-founder and CEO of Riko’s Pizza. “Riko’s has faithfully served the Norwalk community for 12 years, and we look forward to providing our new and loyal customers a new and improved experience with our full-service model.
“We would also like to extend our gratitude to the City of Norwalk for its unwavering support over the years, and during our transition to the new location.”
The Stamford-based company was formed in 2011 and has expanded to 12 locations on the East Coast, including North Carolina and Florida.
“This opening builds on Riko’s continued expansion and brand evolution,” said Carl Bachmann, Riko’s president and COO. “This winning full-service model will be what we continue to expand with, both in our beloved home state of Connecticut — the undisputed pizza capital of America — and around the country.”
The 4,600-square-foot Norwalk restaurant incorporates the character of Norwalk, includes a 37-foot long bar, 16 large HDTVs, convertible outdoor dining space, and accommodations for up to 150 customers. Its menu includes its tavern-style pizzas, oven-roasted wings, salads, desserts and appetizers as well as 21 different wines and cocktails.
Riko’s Pizza of Norwalk operates Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
