GREENWICH – The American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter has added three directors to its board of directors.
Kelly Biderman, Havoc Robotics CEO; Dr. Kisha Mitchell Richards, director of pathology and laboratory medicine at Greenwich Hospital; and Antonio Roman, executive vice president for local media sales at TelevisaUnivision Inc. officially joined the board of the Metro NY North Chapter. Dr. Mitchell Richards joined as an ex-officio member.

Stephanie Dunn Ashley, CEO, American Red Cross Metro NY North Chapter. “Their breadth of experience in such a variety of fields will be an amazing asset as we continue our work to deliver help to those in need around the chapter.”
The chapter’s chair Lisa Cooper is happy to add the diversity of thought the three new directors bring.
“It is our privilege to add the incredible perspectives these three wonderful people bring to our board” Cooper said. “Their values align incredibly well with our mission to provide disaster relief, collect lifesaving blood products, and support service members, veterans and their families throughout our chapter and the nation.”
Biderman of Westchester leads the National Havoc Robot
League, the world’s largest robot fighting tournament series. In this role, she works to uncover and empower the next generation of STEM leaders while pioneering iSports, a new category of innovative and intelligent sports entertainment. She also has 15 years of experience in media and news with senior roles in operations, strategy and digital transformation at Katie Couric Media, Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal.
Dr. Mitchell Richards of Stamford is the chair of the Curriculum Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Vice Chair of the CAP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and Chair of the Long Ridge School (LRS) Board as well as the Chair of the LRS Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee. She is also a founding member of the Society of Black Pathologists.
She led a team that implemented the first COVID-19 hospital drive-thru testing site in Connecticut, for which she was one of the recipients of the United Hospital Fund 2021 Excellence in Health Care Award for Quality Improvement Champions. She also volunteered as a COVID-19 vaccinator in Stamford and COVID-19 educator in Greenwich and Stamford.
She received her degree in medicine from the University of the West Indies and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Roman oversees all local media sales activities and drives the revenue strategy for TV, Radio and Digital platforms across 22 markets. Since assuming his role nearly a year ago, he has transformed the division to adopt a more client-centered approach by introducing a new organizational structure aimed at strategic alignment, efficiency, and accelerated client results.
Recognized for his contributions, Roman was honored with a Univision CEO Award in 2016 and currently serves as vice chair of the Television Bureau of Advertising.
