Darren Birkelbach will become president of Norwalk”™s American International Chemical LLC, a subsidiary of LBB Specialties, on May 15.
Birkelbach joins AIC after 15 years at Brenntag Specialties, most recently as senior vice president. Prior to joining Brenntag, he spent 13 years in the specialties industry at Mineral and Pigment Solutions and Crozier Nelson, with responsibilities spanning operations to sales.
American International is an ISO-registered specialty chemical and ingredient sales and marketing company serving the North American market since 1972. Its customer segments include biotechnology, food and beverage, nutraceutical, personal care, pharmaceutical and specialty industrial. It has annual revenues of over $100 million and approximately 100 employees across North America.
