Commercial real estate firm Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has opened a new office in Stamford, relocating from Greenwich to a space nearly double the size.
The new NGKF office is at 680 Washington Blvd., occupying 10,600 square feet of the eighth floor of the multitenant, 11-story building.
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is part of publicly traded BGC Partners Inc. and has 330 offices. The move, according to a statement that included market momentum as a factor, “will further enable NGKF to add to its rapidly growing brokerage team and support staff.”
James Ritman, the firm’s executive vice president and managing director, said, “We are pleased to announce we have moved to Stamford, which better aligns with our growth plans including the hiring of new talent, expanding our business and growing our client base in the city of Stamford as well as into eastern and northern Fairfield County.”
Mike Cottle, NGKF”™s executive vice president and regional manager, said, “Nearly 20 years ago the Greenwich office was established to provide commercial real estate coverage to both Westchester, N.Y., and Fairfield County. In early 2013 NGKF opened our Rye Brook, N.Y., office to specifically focus on servicing the Westchester market. By moving our Connecticut team to Stamford, we can continue our momentum throughout the state and work more closely with our newly opened industrial office led by Arthur Ross in Hartford.”
The Stamford location is within walking distance to the Stamford train station, making it accessible for commuting employees or visiting clients and guests, as well as for traveling to meetings in New York City.
