
WESTPORT – Maplewood Senior Living of Westport, which has seven communities in the state, has made some major leadership changes designed to “support the organization’s continued growth, elevate the resident experience, and position the company for long-term success.”
Lauren Stowell of Bethel, has been promoted to senior executive director and will oversee operations at Maplewood at Danbury and Maplewood at Newtown, in addition to continuing her leadership at Stony Hill in Bethel.
“Since joining Maplewood in 2018, Lauren has earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, residents, and families alike for her ability to create vibrant, compassionate environments where both residents and team members thrive,” said Shane Herlet, Maplewood and Inspīr co-CEO. “Her ability to bring teams together, solve challenges creatively, and cultivate community-wide engagement makes her a vital part of Maplewood’s executive team.”
The other executive changes include Jenna Anderson, of Sandwich, Massachusetts, who was promoted to vice president of revenue growth and strategy; Sheridan Daniel of Voorhes, New Jersey, who was appointed vice president of operational excellence and brand standards; and
Adena McGowan of Macedonia, Ohio, who was promoted to corporate Director of memory care.

Maplewood Senior Living has a strategic partnership with Omega Healthcare Investors particularly focused on luxury senior living communities. In Connecticut, those communities are in Bethel, Danbury, Darien, East Norwalk, Newtown, Orange, and Southport. Inspīr Senior Living is the ultra-luxury brand located in premier urban markets.
According to a 2024 story by McKnights Senior Living, Omega Healthcare Investors had reached a deal with the estate of Greg Smith, the late president and CEO of Maplewood Senior Living who died in 2023, to transition control of Maplewood to some members of the existing Maplewood management team, the Hunt Valley, MD-based real estate investment trust announced last week as it shared second-quarter financial results.
