A $750,000 parcel of Lee Farm LLC raw land was sold to Dr. Marshall Kurtz for a new, one-story 7,000-square-foot dental facility, Danbury Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Located on Park Avenue across from Barden Corporation, 2.4 acres of the 6.8 acres of raw land was buildable.
Hal Kurfehs, Vice President of Coldwell Banker Commercial, Scalzo Group, in Bethel was the listing agent and announced the brokered sale.
Craig Froehlich of Hegarty Real Estate represented the buyer.
According to Kurfehs, Dr. Kurtz has applied for permits to start construction of a 7,000-squate-foot, one-story dental office. The remaining 1.2 acres will be available by Dr. Kurtz to interested parties for compatible uses. Kurtz currently leases an office at 85 North Street and owns a second office at 487 Danbury Road in New Milford.
Kurfehs also completed a $280,000 ground lease of 12 acres of Lee Farm property located on the south side of Park Ave. to Algonquin Gas Transmission. The lease is from October 5, 2015 to December 31, 2017. Algonquin will use the land as a staging area for the installation of their gas pipeline through the Greater Danbury area, according to a statement from the Scalzo Group.
