Gladstone pays $15.4M for retail complex
Gladstone Development Corp., a Greenwich-based real estate investment company, has bought The Shops at Ledgebrook in Winsted for $15.4 million.
The 105,000-square-foot complex on Route 44 is 92 percent occupied and includes anchor tenants Super Stop & Shop and Rite Aid. It was built in 1989.
Jariel Bortnick, vice president of Gladstone, said the company sees value in owning shopping centers anchored by grocers because they have a stable and reliable business base. He said the company would be aggressively marketing the remaining 8 percent of the complex.

Pay-by-mobile parking in Norwalk
The Norwalk Parking Authority has utilized the technology of Atlanta-based Parkmobile USA to bring pay-by-mobile parking to the city.
The service, designed to save residents and downtown shoppers time and money, is expected to be in place by the end of October.
Drivers currently can pre-register at parkmobile.com and also download a mobile application. Once the service is in place, customers can use the mobile app, the Internet or a phone to call in to pay for parking.
Motorists will also be able to select an option to receive text-message reminders 15 minutes before their parking session expires.
