GREENWICH – Greenwich Hospital has opened its Occupational Medicine office, located at 49 Lake Ave., Suite 201. The Yale New Haven Health System hospital held a ribbon cutting Monday, Nov. 17, to mark the opening.
“This is an important milestone. We’re excited about what we can accomplish in this new space,” said Raj Ahsan, MD, senior medical director, occupational medicine, YNHHS. “Occupational Medicine plays a vital role in keeping our workforce healthy and safe, and this expansion allows us to better serve both our employees and the greater Greenwich community.”
Occupational Medicine at YNHHS provides comprehensive medical services designed to promote the health, safety and well-being of employees in the workplace. The Greenwich Occupational Medicine team also provides services for regional employers such as the Greenwich Fire Department, the Town of Greenwich and other area organizations. In addition, the team offers preventive care, injury management and employee health screenings, including administering annual flu vaccinations for hospital staff.
“They (the Occupational Medicine team) are the go-to experts for all of our needs related to medical occupational health services for the town employees,” said Erica Mahoney, assistant director of Human Resources for the Town of Greenwich, on the Occupational Medicine team. “We have a great relationship, and we’re really excited about the relocation to the central Greenwich area.”
The new office space at 49 Lake Avenue will allow the Occupational Medicine team to continue growing its services and strengthening partnerships with local employers, ensuring that employees throughout the Greenwich community have access to exceptional occupational healthcare.
