The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of opening three additional disaster recovery centers in Norwalk, Fairfield and East Lyme to assist individuals looking for federal assistance.
Officials are encouraging individuals affected by the storm to register for FEMA assistance online or by phone, but the centers are another alternative for those seeking relief.
As of Nov. 9, more than $2.2 million in storm aid has been approved in Connecticut and more than 4,800 disaster loan applications have been issued by the U.S. Small Business Administration, 900 of which were for businesses.
In addition to centers in Greenwich and Bridgeport, the new centers will be located at the Fairfield Senior Center and Norwalk City Hall.
