Cenveo Inc. is acquiring Commercial Envelope Manufacturing Company Inc., which prints 45 million envelopes daily, numbering it among the largest such printers in the nation.
Run by the Kristel family since 1924, the Deer Park, N.Y., company has 700 employees today and $160 million in annual revenue. The company”™s five facilities include a new 190,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Kirksville, Mo., funded in part through $1.5 million in state incentives.
Stamford-based Cenveo is one of the five largest commercial printers in the U.S. with more than 10,000 employees and $1.5 billion in revenue last year.
In separate Cenveo news, the company appointed Mark Hiltwein chief financial officer, promoting former CFO Sean Sullivan to president of Cenveo”™s commercial and packaging operations.
The managerial changes coincided with Cenveo”™s July acquisition of ColorGraphics, among the largest commercial printing companies in the western United States.
