BRIDGEPORT – The Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s office is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who has information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the Oct. 5 arson of an auto body shop at the corner of Connecticut and Union Aves.
“The Connecticut Arson Tip Program offers a $2,500 reward for anybody that has information that leads to the successful arrest, conviction and prevention of arson,” Acting Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Vega said in a Facebook video. “If anyone has any information what transpired at this location, please feel free to give us a call at (203) 576-7853.”

During the early morning hours on Sunday, Oct. 5, a fire occurred at Bros Custom Car Clinic at 673 Connecticut Ave. Also, due to the fire 14 residents from a neighboring apartment building were displaced from their homes due to extensive smoke and water damage, according to the Bridgeport Fire Department.
In addition to the Bridgeport Fire Inspector’s office, anybody with information about the fire can call the Connecticut Arson Tip Line at 1-800-84-ARSON or the Bridgeport Police Department TIPS line at 203-576-8477. All tips are confidential.
