Forest City Residential Group began leasing units earlier this month for a newly completed apartment complex, part of the revitalization of Stratford’s Main Street corridor.
The building is the first of five new residential buildings in the community scheduled to open before January 2014. Residents can move in Sept. 1.
“When we first looked at the site we were excited by its Main Street Stratford location,” said Abe Naparstek, a Forest City senior vice president, in a press release. The building is also in walking distance of the Metro-North rail station.
“We envisioned a community that would play a part in the revitalization of the area,” Naparstek said. “(It’s) bringing new residents to the neighborhood who will increase pedestrian traffic and activate the restaurants, shops, businesses and parks that make Stratford such a great place to live, work and shop.”
Named 1111 Stratford Apartments, rent at the 128-unit complex begins at $1,275 for a studio.
