When Peter Neal wed Naomi Biden, President Joe Biden”™s granddaughter, at the White House last Nov. 19, he sported a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger floral brooch in his lapel as a boutonniere. While usually associated with famous women (Queen Elizabeth II, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Elizabeth Taylor, Wallis, Duchess of Windsor), who have often used them to telegraph a message, brooches have been worn by men and women since the Bronze Age. Oscar-winning actor and fashionisto Jared Leto is a major proponent of the more flamboyant, floral variety. Recently, Michael B. Jordan sported two Tiffany Schlumberger brooches at the Mexico City premiere of his movie “Creed III “”“ the Maltese Cross clip of diamonds in 18-karat gold and the sun-like Apollo Brooch in gold and platinum with diamonds. The Apollo Brooch is, of course, a nod to his character, Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed of “Rocky” movie series fame. Jordan finished the outfit with two Tiffany Lock Bangles ”“ one in yellow gold with full pavé diamonds and one in yellow and white gold with half pavé diamonds.
For the London premiere, Jordan mixed it up with two Schlumberger Bird on a Rock Brooches in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum with diamonds and pink sapphires. One had a more-than-52-carat amethyst; the other, a more-than-32-carat aquamarine. He completed this look with diamond studs in platinum and a Tiffany Lock Bangle in white gold with full pave diamonds.
