Dress Code – Festive Attire
In 2025, thanks to your support, the CDF awarded grants to the following health care organizations in Westchester and the New York Hudson Valley:
Blythedale Children’s Hospital – CDF will provide funds for the purchase of a BiWaze and SYNCLARA Cough System, used to clear mucus from the upper airways of patients that have difficulty coughing on their own.
Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CVAC) – CDF’s grant will fund the purchase of seven (7) Laerdal Little Baby QCPR Mannequins, used to teach infant CPR and teaches how to do compressions at the right rate, to the right depth and whether there is proper chest recoil between compressions.
Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center – CDF will fund the purchase of ten (10) Fluid Flo Pneumatic Hand-Held Percussors, which help children breathe with greater ease.
Garnet Health Medical Center – CDF will provide funds for the purchase of an AccuVein AV500 Visualization System, which uses near-infrared technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of vein visualization, thereby facilitating more effective lab testing and intravenous procedures for children.
Montefiore New Rochelle – CDF’s grant will cover the purchase of one WelchAllyn Microtymp tympanometry/audiometer and two Welch Allyn Macroview attachments for the otoscope. These will be used to measure middle ear pressure, detect middle ear fluid, and provide information about the hearing capabilities of an infant.
Montefiore Nyack – CDF will fund the training and expansion of the volunteer Baby Cuddler Program, including recruitment, screening, and training of at least six new Baby Cuddler volunteers.
Phelps Hospital – CDF will provide funds toward the purchase of a SimNewB, which is a pediatric patient simulator representative of the first 10 minutes of life and provides realistic training for resuscitation and stabilization techniques.
St. Joseph’s Medical Center – CDF’s grant will go towards the purchase of a Spot Vision Screener Machine to support early detection of vision issues and a Pilot Hearing Screening Device for fast, non-invasive hearing assessments.
Westchester Community Health Center – CDF will fund the purchase of six (6) audiometers to expand access to hearing screening for children at their six health centers.
Westchester Community Health Center – CDF’s grant will fund their new “Food is Medicine Program” for children including one part-time employee and food for the participants.
About Us
For over 30 years, The Children’s Dream Foundation (CDF) has been the sole organization in the Hudson Valley region with the primary mission of enhancing pediatric emergency medicine. The medical needs of all children must be prioritized, and it is imperative that medical professionals and hospitals are sufficiently trained and equipped for the future needs of the community.
CDF provides grants in three main areas:
Pediatric Treatment Facilities and Equipment: As demand for emergency facilities has risen, CDF has supported area hospitals by donating pediatric treatment areas and specialized equipment that is properly sized for babies and children.
Training for Medical Personnel: To save the lives of children in life-threatening emergencies, CDF provides grants for training equipment and training sessions for medical personnel and first responders.
Preventative Care and Safety Programs: CDF believes that good preventative care is the best way to give the consistent care that keeps children from visiting emergency rooms. Grants are given to community healthcare centers for crucial healthcare programs, safety equipment and education.
