Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) invites media to Cocktails for a Cause, its annual spring fundraiser dedicated to raising vital funds for free legal services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. This year’s event will take place at Barley Beach House in Rye, NY, bringing together community leaders, advocates, and legal professionals for an evening of support, awareness, and action.

As uncertainty around federal funding continues and as NY State considers including expanded support for survivors in the 2026 budget, this event comes at a critical time. PWJC is stepping up to ensure survivors in Westchester and beyond continue to receive the legal protection and advocacy they need.

Governor Kathy Hochul’s 2026 budget proposal includes expanded support for survivors of crime, particularly gender-based violence.
The New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV) is currently conducting a statewide tour to discuss the budget proposal, concluding in NYC this week. PWJC Executive Director Cindy Kanusher may attend their presentation.
