As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, more than two million New York residents were still without power after Hurricane Sandy swept through the region overnight.
The bulk of the outages were concentrated in New York City, the Hudson Valley and Long Island, according to information released by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
Of the 2,065,626 customers without power as of 11 a.m., nearly one million were Long Island Power Authority customers and three quarters of a million were Con Edison customers.
