The Westchester County Association”™s longtime advocate for health care reform in Albany and international business director was among four employees recently promoted to new positions at WCA headquarters in White Plains.
Amy Allen has been named vice president of the business group. Allen served for more than a decade as the WCA”™s managing director for advocacy and international business and will continue to have a lead role in its health care initiatives, including the work of the WCA Healthcare Consortium, as well as the organization”™s other efforts to spur economic development and innovation in the region, WCA President Marissa Brett said when announcing the promotions.
“Amy Allen has had a positive impact on nearly every aspect of this organization,” Brett said. “Along the way, she raised the WCA”™s profile, attracted global investment to Westchester, and forged strong partnerships with government leaders and the international business community in Westchester County and the region.”
Joelle DiNardi, formerly the WCA”™s economic development coordinator, was promoted to a newly created position as managing director for entrepreneurship and innovation. Brett said she will oversee efforts to attract early-stage companies to the county and support them through the WCA”™s Blueprint Accelerator Network, in addition to growing the organization”™s meetup and networking groups, Accelerate Westchester and Innovate Westchester.
“Joelle brings great energy to this position, and she has already been successful in reaching new audiences and involving a broad array of partners in our endeavors,” Brett said.
The WCA also promoted Monica Ortiz from bookkeeper to financial manager and Laura Montopoli from events assistant to events coordinator.
