According to Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich, the village “is doing well and provides an enormous amount of service to Northern Westchester.” Recently, it has welcomed a number of businesses that Cindrich said will complement the other businesses in Mount Kisco as well as meet the needs and wants of the residents.
“We try to encourage property owners that will attract low traffic,” said Cindrich. “I think we”™ve been successful.”
While Grand Prix New York, the race track being built on North Bedford Road, has been a traffic concern for the village, the Mayor believes it will be a great addition to the community.
“We”™re looking forward to having it because it will bring (businesses) to our restaurants,” said Cindrich.
Other businesses Mount Kisco will host: the Lexus of Greenwich dealership and a BMW dealership. Cindrich said these businesses will not only bring high-end customers to the area but also provide jobs for residents.
Currently in the planning stages is a senior independent living facility called the Westchester Residences.
“One hundred and thirty residents will live there,” said Cindrich. “It will be beneficial to the community because demographics suggested it was needed.”
Cindrich also said its location is perfect due to the proximity to the Northern Westchester Hospital as well as to doctors offices in the area.
Overall, Cindrich said he”™s making sure “there”™s a compatibility between the residential environment and business environment. We”™re making Mount Kisco a quality place to live and do business.”
