The Connecticut chapter of Entrepreneurs”™ Organization ”“ a global, peer-to-peer network of more than 11,000 business leaders ”“ hosts both entrepreneurs and speakers Feb. 9 at its Key Executive Program for what is billed as an “interactive day of education and inspiration” and an opportunity to learn more about best practices.
The day-long program is 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Stamford Campus of the University of Connecticut, University Conference Center, 1 University Place.
In a prepared statement, the organization said the event “is an exclusive opportunity for local entrepreneurs to learn from a group of highly renowned presenters on best practices for greater business success and personal enrichment.”
Guest speakers include:
- Peter Shankman, a successful entrepreneur who will explain how he uses his ADHD to his advantage, what tricks and secrets he’s learned over the past 30 years, including why airplanes are your best friend to get work done and why everyone should jump out of a plane at least once;
- Greg Moran, who is president and CEO of Chequed.com and author of “Building the Talent Edge: A Field Managers Guide to Recruiting the Best” and “Hire, Fire and The Walking Dead, A Leader”™s Guide to Recruiting the Best.” He previously served as Founder and VP of Sales for People Answers America, a provider of behavioral assessment software to midmarket and large companies and founded and served as president of Pinnacle Technology Solutions, an executive search, staffing and human capital management services firm;
- Benjamin Richter, who will discuss how one looks at leadership and the role of leaders in business as critical to creating “a meaningful company culture”;
- Barrett Ersek on “discovering your X-Factor,” from a serial entrepreneur who started his first company in the green industry at age 17. Ersek has sold two businesses in the green industry and is currently building his third company, Holganix. He”™ll show attendees how to identify the bottleneck in their industries and create a competitive advantage over competition;
- Kris Kaplan on how he grew Kris & Co., a manufacturer”™s rep agency in the Northeast, from scratch to more than $10 million before selling it. Now, as founder of K2 Coaching, he”™s inspiring, coaching and helping others do the same; and
- Rich Manders, who co-founded iAutomation, leading the organization to 140-plus employees and nearly $80 million in sales.
