Avison Young, a Toronto commercial real estate firm, has been retained by G&S Investors to serve as exclusive leasing agent and property manager for The Waterfront at Port Chester, the 500,000 square-foot shopping center in the village’s downtown area.
Manhattan-based G&S Investors operates the 20-acre shopping center at the intersection of Westchester Avenue and Main Street.
Current businesses at The Waterfront at Port Chester include Stop & Shop, Marshalls, Walgreens, Costco and Bed Bath & Beyond locations, as well as a 14-screen Loews Cinema movie theater.
Jedd Nero, principal and managing director of New York City retail at Avison Young, and associates Christa Goulakos and Jeremy Schwartz will be responsible for leasing the space. Company officials said a total of 35,750 square feet of space is available for rent in parcels ranging from 1,447 to 13,000 square feet.
“The Waterfront at Port Chester is in the heart of one of the country’s premier retail areas,” Nero said. “The Waterfront presents a compelling option for retailers seeking a modern, well-anchored shopping center. We anticipate strong interest in the space from a wide range of prospective tenants, from international to local retailers.”
G&S Port Chester LLC, an entity of G&S Investors, also has plans for a mixed-use development on the site of “Coney’s Lot,” a vacant parking lot across from The Waterfront at Port Chester. Plans, which will be presented to the village Board of Trustees in January, call for a maximum 79-unit apartment building with 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
