JetBlue Airways Corp. has not ruled out Fairfield County as a site for its headquarters, with a planned consolidation of its tri-state offices when the lease on its current headquarters in New York City expires in 2012.
The carrier has 800 employees in the tri-state region, including at an office in Darien.
According to multiple reports, New York City and Orlando are the leading candidates for the company”™s headquarters, but the company is considering other locations in the metropolitan New York City market.
Norwalk is home to the U.S. headquarters of Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd.
