Toll Brothers bought a Newtown residential development, where it plans to build nearly 180 new condominiums and townhouses targeted at adults 55 years and older.
Originally proposed by Congers, N.Y.-based Kohl Partners L.L.C., the Woods at Newtown is located at 176 Mount Pleasant Rd. off Interstate 84Â between exits 8 and 9.
Toll Brothers is renaming the development Newtown Woods, with plans to build initial model homes and to set a price point starting in the low $300,000 range for the two-bedroom residences.
Other area developments by Horsham, Pa.-based Toll Brothers include Rivington in Danbury and the Summit at Bethel.
