A new restaurant is expected to be opening at the Yonkers City Pier this summer in the location where X20 Xaviars on the Hudson had operated until it closed last Sept. 29. Benjamin Restaurant Group (BRG) plans to launch of The Sea Fire Grill in Yonkers. BRG says the new restaurant will offer diners stunning views of the Hudson River, bringing an elevated dining experience to the heart of Westchester.
The Yonkers City Pier had been a prime New York Metro area culinary destination since Xaviars was opened by famed chef Peter Kelly in 2007. BRG was founded in 2006 by Benjamin Prelvukaj and Benjamin Sinanaj. They currently operate Sea Fire Grill at 158 E. 48th St., Benjamin Steakhouse at 52 E. 41st St., and Benjamin Prime at 23 E. 40th St., all in Manhattan, along with Benjamin Westchester at 610 Hartsdale Rd., in Greenburgh.
The Sea Fire Grill Yonkers’ Executive Chef Arturo McLeod is expected to offer a menu that focuses on seafood including a raw bar, caviar, fresh catches, and prime dry-aged steaks and chops.
In a statement, Sinanaj and Prelvukaj said, “We are absolutely thrilled to bring The Sea Fire Grill to Yonkers and become a part of this vibrant and growing community. Our goal is to create a space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy exceptional seafood, premium steaks, and unparalleled hospitality. With the stunning backdrop of the Hudson River from the historic Yonkers City Pier, we’re excited to contribute to the rich culinary scene of Yonkers and ensure every guest leaves with a memorable dining experience, feeling warmly welcomed and right at home with us.”
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano welcomed the new restaurant by saying, “This five-star premiere, family-owned restaurant will attract residents and foodies from across the region, showcasing our city’s exceptional waterfront and views. The Sea Fire Grill surely will become a culinary destination for all.”
