A 130,000-square-foot biotech building at the Landmark at Eastview is one step closer to becoming a reality, with Greenburgh”™s Planning Board set to review the project.
The Greenburgh Town Board moved the project along Wednesday when it took the procedural step of declaring itself lead agency under the state Environmental Quality Review Act. The project, owned by BioMed Realty, is adjacent to the practice facility for the New York Knicks, New York Liberty and New York Rangers.
At the Planning Board level, the construction, next to the existing Regeneron building there, will need to obtain a wetlands permit and a steep slope permit.
A separate proposal to construct a retail and commercial center in the area is being vetted, with a rezoning requested for design flexibility at the 180-acre site.
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly outlined the parameters of the project proposal. It has been updated with the correct information.
