FactSet expansion tallied
FactSet Research System Inc.”™s expansion at Merritt 7 Corporate Park will cost $1.4 million, according to documents filed with the city of Norwalk. FactSet provides data and software to help finance companies track the markets. The company recently leased an additional 24,000 square feet of space at Merritt 7, giving it more than 200,000 square feet total.

Builder moves HQ to Conn.
A construction company is relocating its headquarters from Milwaukee to Greenwich citing Connecticut”™s “progressive” tax and building code laws. Stephen Dent Construction Co. focuses on the green building and renovation sector for both homes and offices. The company did not list an address where it will have its Greenwich office.

Cartus manager to lead BOMA
Cartus Corp. manager Deb Smith is the new president of BOMA International”™s southern Connecticut chapter, succeeding Jodi Gutierrez of George Comfort & Sons Inc. who led the commercial real estate professional society two years.

CL&P moving Norwalk site
Connecticut Light & Power Co. took 5,000 square feet of office and warehouse space at 25 Harbor Ave. in Norwalk, relocating there from a nearby space.
CL&P was represented by CB Richard Ellis, while Darien-based Signature Group represented the property owner.
American Breeders relocates
American Breeders pet store leased 2,000 square feet of space at 128 Danbury Road in Danbury, with the company having had a location at 8 Mill Plain Road in Danbury in addition to two in Westchester County, N.Y.
The pet store was represented by Goodfellow Ashmore CORFAC International, as was the landlord.
Give HEI Liberty
HEI Hotels & Resorts said it has a contract to acquire the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty Airport, without immediately disclosing what it paid for the 200-room hotel which is under renovation.
It is Norwalk-based HEI”™s first Northeast deal in a year, since forming a joint venture to take over Boston”™s Liberty Hotel in the shell of a former prison. In all, the company owns 42 hotels that employ more than 5,500 people.
