The Business Council of Westchester is hosting a speaker event this week that will focus on the county”™s four largest cities.
New Rochelle, White Plains, Yonkers and Mount Vernon will be represented at the program by their respective mayors, Noam Bramson, Thomas Roach, Michael Spano and Richard Thomas.
Topics that will be discussed include major development projects together costing hundreds of millions of dollars going up in those four cities, such as 55 Bank Street, a 561-unit complex that broke ground in White Plains in November, a proposed 442-unit Yonkers waterfront building pitched by RXR Realty and Rising Development in conjunction with Renaissance Downtowns, RXR Realty’s multi-faceted downtown redevelopment project in New Rochelle, and Fleetwood’s expected 249-unit apartment tower from a partnership between Alexander Development Group and The Bluestone Organization.
The speaker event, which is being called “Westchester”™s Booming Urban Centers,” will start at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown.
The only economic development to happen in any of these cities comes along with big tax breaks otherwise they won’t get build because the taxes are too high. 1 big circle.
