The city of New Rochelle is holding a public workshop in September and has invited the community to help with the development of a comprehensive plan.
The workshop, called EnvisioNR for Envision New Rochelle, is the fourth of a series presented by the city planned in a partnership with the Land Use Law Center at Pace Law School and the New York City-based consulting firm BFJ Planning. The collaboration is funded through the Cleaner Greener Communities Program of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in the auditorium at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital where discussions will be held and recommendations are encouraged from city residents.
Topics that will be covered include zoning and land use, transportation, parks and natural resources spaces, public facilities, utilities and housing.
