USA TODAY and Plant-A Insights Group named Bob’s Discount Furniture, based in Manchester, Connecticut with 177 stores across 24 states one of America’s Top Retailers for 2024.
Bob’s Discount Furniture was founded in 1991 by Bob Kaufman and Gene Rosenberg and has in the past three decades become the ninth largest furniture retailer in the country. Extensive advertising, much of it featuring Kaufman himself, has made the brand a cultural touchstone across New England and surrounding regions.
The rankings were produced through a large scale anonymized survey conducted by Plant-A Insights Group and USA TODAY asking for customer’s views on seven key metrics. Bob’s earned a five star rating.
“Bob’s Discount Furniture is thrilled to learn that our in-store experience has been recognized by such an esteemed data analytics firm and national news organization and, most importantly, our customers,” said Roger Dunlap, senior vice president of retail at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “We firmly believe that the customer journey is at the heart of our success. From the moment a customer steps into one of our stores, our goal is to create an exceptional experience and strive to exceed their expectations.”
