The Westchester Bank has promoted Michael Vitale to vice president for commercial lending, the bank announced on March 9.
Vitale, of White Plains, has worked at The Westchester Bank since 2010 and most recently served as assistant vice president for commercial lending. In his role, he will be responsible for growing new loan activity while managing a loan portfolio in excess of $150 million, the White Plains-based bank reported.
“His lending expertise, great work ethic and people skills make him a valued member of our loan team,” John M. Tolomer, the bank’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “I fully expect Mike to play an important role in achieving our 2015 goals.”
Prior to joining The Westchester Bank, Vitale was a senior credit analyst at JPMorgan Chase Bank”™s middle-market commercial lending group.
“As a lifelong Westchester resident, I have a great appreciation of the special community in which we live and serve,” Vitale said. “It has also afforded me a unique perspective of the marketplace and the specialized banking needs of our local businesses.”
The Westchester Bank is headquartered at 12 Water St., White Plains, and has four branch locations throughout the county. Plans for further branch expansion are under development, according to the bank’s announcement.
