A Scarsdale financial planning firm has opened an office in Austin.
Palisades Hudson Financial Group sees Austin as a boomtown in need of sophisticated investment, planning, tax and estate advice, Larry Elkin, company president, said in a press release.
The office will be headed by Benjamin Sullivan, 32, who has worked in the Scarsdale office for nine years. Sullivan, a Tulane University graduate, is a Certified Financial Planner and an IRS enrolled agent.
Palisades has $1.2 billion under management in 112 accounts. Most of its clients are high net worth individuals, according to a regulatory filing by a related entity, Palisades Hudson Asset Management LP.
The asset management firm”™s compensation is based on fixed fees and a percentage of assets under management. It has 16 employees and other offices in Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, and Portland, Ore.
