For the fifth year, companies will have the chance to recognize their financial leaders who make challenging decisions to keep business booming. Westfair Communications, parent company of the Westchester and Fairfield Business Journals, along with accounting firm, RSM (formerly known as McGladrey), are taking nominations for the CFO of the Year Awards.
The CFO of the Year Awards are open to any CFO or counterpart (such as a controller, financial director or planner) who has worked a minimum of two years for a public or private company in Fairfield or Westchester County.
Award categories will honor financial executives working in all industries including banking, real estate, finance, technology and more. New this year is the Emerging Financial Leader Award, which will be presented to a successful professional on track to be a CFO.
Both the Westchester County and Fairfield County Business Journals will host an awards ceremony to honor the finalists and winners, all of whom are chosen by a panel of judges. The Westchester County honorees will be presented awards on October 5 at the Whitby Castle in Rye. Fairfield County honorees will be recognized October 18 at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk. Both events include a networking reception with hors d”™oeuvres and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. followed by an award ceremony featuring a keynote speaker.
