The Westchester County Local Development Corp. Thursday agreed to issue $14 million in tax-exempt bonds to finance an expansion project at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow.
The hospital will build a 20,000 square-foot surgical suite at the existing Medical Services Building and connect it to the main building with a new 200-foot long enclosed corridor bridge.
County Executive Robert P. Astorino when announcing the LDC”™s support for the project said it will give county residents “more access to outstanding health care and our talented workforce of medical professionals will have more opportunity to find good paying jobs.”
Attorney Alfred DelBello, representing Phelps Memorial Hospital, told the LDC board the expansion will create 10 permanent medical professional jobs.
