Call for teaching artists in Yonkers

ArtsWestchester will hold a workshop Tuesday in Yonkers for Yonkers-based artists looking to take part in a new classroom arts initiative starting next year in the Yonkers City School District.

The workshop, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Yonkers Riverfront Library, will inform artists about the application process for placement in ArtsWestchester”™s directory of teaching artists. The White Plains-based nonprofit is partnering with the city school district to bring literary, performing and visual artists into public schools in the new Arts Excel Yonkers program.
