Maryknoll Lay Missioners in Ossining has appointed Matthew Boyle as the organization”™s new executive director. He will replace Sam Stanton, who since 2008 led the group of Roman Catholic volunteers in global missionary work among poor and marginalized people.
Since joining Maryknoll Lay Missioners in March 2014 as director of mission advancement, Boyle has spearheaded the nonprofit”™s rebranding and repositioning and has led the most successful fundraising effort in its history.
Boyle previously was senior development manager at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where he raised funds for the neurosciences, including research for Alzheimer”™s disease and mental illness. He also led Emory School of Medicine”™s Office of Alumni Development and Relations.
The Fairfield, Conn., native and resident of Mahopac earlier led fundraising efforts as the first development director at Yale-New Haven Children”™s Hospital in New Haven and as director of development and marketing for Sacred Heart University”™s Center for Spirituality and Lay Ministry.
