Stop & Shop won the Food Bank for Westchester”™s 8th Annual Golden Scoop Corporate Competition, besting seven other corporate teams that competed to see who could repack the most bulk food into deliverable packages in one hour.
Company representatives were presented with the award at the Food Bank”™s Hunger Heroes Awards Breakfast on June 2 at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown.
In total, the teams packed 21,138 pounds of rice, which will be delivered to some of the Food Bank”™s 300 community partners throughout Westchester County.
Other participants in the competition were Curtis Instruments, Bunge, Capital One, NewYork-Presbyterian, Regeneron, Swiss Re and Webster Bank.
