Stacey Petrower will move from the chief operating officer”™s job to the top post at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital when John C. Federspiel retires in July after 29 years as president of the Cortlandt Manor hospital.
A Peekskill resident, Petrower in January joined the hospital in northern Westchester after serving as vice president of operations at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. In a health care career of more than 20 years, she joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2003, where she previously had leadership roles at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children”™s Hospital. NewYork-Presbyterian officials said she has extensive experience in collaborating with physicians, nurses and staff to enhance nationally recognized clinical service lines and making improvements in patient experience and employee engagement.

Corwin, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System, “whose leadership and vision over the last three decades have transformed NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital into a respected, highly rated community hospital and one of the leading health care institutions in the region.”
Noting the 128-bed community hospital completed a $100 million renovation and expansion and added a state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center under Federspiel, Corwin added, “John will leave us with a commitment to excellence as well as a strong foundation upon which to move forward.”
As president, Petrower will be responsible for the overall leadership and operations at the Cortlandt Manor site as well as satellite medical center locations in Croton and Cold Spring and a physical therapy facility in Croton.
Petrower holds a bachelor”™s degree in law and society from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a master”™s degree in health care administration from Pace University.
