Danbury Hospital recently opened a new breast imaging center less than a mile away from its main campus.
Technicians and radiologists at the state-of-the-art facility will preform all aspects of breast imaging care, including digital mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry.
“With the latest technology in breast cancer detection and a highly trained staff, the new Breast Imaging Center is committed to providing personalized service in a warm, comfortable setting,” said Valerie L. Staradub, director of the breast care program at Western Connecticut Health Network, in a statement. The health network includes Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital and the Western Connecticut Medical Group.
Hospital officials say the new location will offer more convenient parking, a comfortable waiting area and more spacious changing rooms with personal lockers. Additionally, doctors will meet with patients in private consultation areas in place of exam rooms.
