Antares Real Estate was the lone Fairfield County company to crack the 2007 Inc. 500, the annual list published by Inc. magazine that lists fast-growing businesses.
Building luxury residences and developing commercial sites, the Greenwich-based Antares increased revenue more than tenfold over a three-year period to $36 million in 2006.
The list was topped by MemberHealth, a Salon, Ohio, company that processes Medicare prescriptions whose revenue increased from $6 million in 2003 to $1.2 billion last year. MemberHealth was acquired this summer by Universal American Health.
While the Inc. 500 list is considered a badge of honor for small and midsized businesses, the magazine ranks 5,000 companies in all.
