Pitney Bowes Inc. reportedly is moving 120 employees out of Bridgeport and into a Shelton building it owns.
The Stamford-based company plans to keep 60 workers in offices at 10 Middle St. in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Post.
Pitney Bowes revealed last month it would cut 1,500 jobs worldwide, as it deals with order delays for mail systems it sells following a postal-reform law passed in May.
The company has yet to indicate how the cuts will affect its local work force. Pitney Bowes is the fourth largest employer in Fairfield County with 4,000 workers at last report.
In separate news, Pitney Bowes acquired distribution operations of its MapInfo software offerings in Australia and France. The company did not immediately disclose transaction terms.
