Revamped hotel boasts biggest ballroom

The Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown, set on 11 acres of landscaped grounds, now claims to have the largest grand ballroom in Westchester County.

The new grand ballroom features bronze art deco chandeliers, a double-sided stone fireplace and 10,000 square feet of event and multifunction space.

“We are very excited to be opening the largest grand ballroom in Westchester County, following a complete renovation of our entire hotel,” said Rich Friedman, general manager of the Doubletree Hotel.

“It gives the hotel a tremendous mix of business,” said Friedman. “We have the ability to market to business clientele as well as leisure clientele.”

The hotel also offers 24,000 square feet of flexible meeting and pre-function space, including the existing 4,250-square-foot Westchester Ballroom and 17 meeting rooms.

The pre-function area opens to an outdoor terrace, with both areas sharing a huge two-sided stone fireplace. Dark wood furnishings complement the grand ballroom”™s dÃ©cor.

The entire 246-room hotel has been completely refurbished from the lobby to its guest rooms.
