
Family and Children’s Agency (FCA) in Norwalk, Connecticut, recently welcomed the newest members of its Board of Directors: Carolyn O’Brien, a nonprofit leader, and Kenneth Waller, MBA, FACHE, a committed health-care executive, both residents of Norwalk.

O’Brien has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropic consulting and outcomes- based grantmaking. She has dedicated her career to advancing the missions of organizations that serve communities and families.
She is the co-founder of Stepping Stones Museum for Children, founding partner of Mission Bridge, and formerly the executive director of Viking Global Foundation. In addition to these roles, she has volunteered for numerous community organizations. A graduate of Smith College, O’Brien also received an MBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management. She began her career in advertising before transitioning to nonprofit work.
Waller has over 20 years of experience pioneering innovative health-care service models to address the medical demands of society’s most vulnerable populations across the United States and beyond. Currently the CEO/COO of Norwalk Community Health Center, he also serves on multiple nonprofit governing boards in the Norwalk region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public administration with a concentration in public finance and public policy from KEAN University and an MBA in health-care systems management from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business.
