NEW CANAAN – The Glass House will host a special benefit sale featuring Art Editions from renowned contemporary artists, with 10% of all proceeds supporting the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund. This initiative aims to assist artists and arts workers affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
The benefit sale, which will take place Feb. 1-Feb.14, will feature notable works by Derrick Adams, Miya Ando, Jenny Holzer, Ed Ruscha, Mickalene Thomas, and others. The Art Editions held in The Glass House Design Store exemplifies its commitment to celebrating creative innovation in support of historic preservation.
“We are excited to partner with such a dedicated group of organizations leading this effort,” said Kirsten Reoch, executive director of The Glass House. “Many artists who have had meaningful historic connections with our site are now in need of support. This benefit sale is our way of giving back to those who have championed art and preservation in both their work and at The Glass House.”
The LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund was established by a coalition of prominent arts organizations, including the J. Paul Getty Trust, the Mohn Art Collective (Hammer Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art and the L.A. County Museum of Art), and supported by philanthropic organizations like the Mellon Foundation, the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, The Andy Warhol Foundation, Qatar Museums, and Ford Foundation.
The fund provides emergency relief to artists and arts workers who have lost their homes, studios, or livelihoods in the devastating wildfires. To view and purchase Art Editions, visit Glass House Art Editions’ website.
