The Stamford Partnership announced on September 3 the launch of The Northeast Cyber Council, an initiative seeking to help companies and organizations across Fairfield County and surrounding areas prepare for a future where the risks of cybersecurity breaches are likely to grow.
“The Northeast Cyber Council is driven by a clear mission: to foster cybersecurity awareness and resilience amidst a dynamic threat environment. Our approach is comprehensive, targeting key sectors to ensure robust cybersecurity practices and preparedness at all levels,” reads the press release.
The Cyber Council plans to liaise with government officials to represent the best interests of area businesses and non-profits, support small and medium businesses as they navigate the complex world of cyber security, work with larger organizations to foster mutually beneficial relationships, partner with academic institutions in the area, and provide career placement for emerging cybersecurity experts.
