Whether shopping for holiday presents, stocking stuffers or gifts to commemorate any special occasion − even a simple expression of thanks – Johann offers guidance in selecting presents that will endear you for years:
- Think like the receivers. Ask yourself what they would like and try to understand how they will interpret your gesture. Very often it is not what the gift giver thinks. For certain occasions, do not hesitate to ask what the intended would like to have.
- Don’t stress on finding the “perfect gift” but rather focus on why it’s being given. Show thoughtfulness, even in the way it’s presented. A handwritten note and nice packaging will add to the gift’s appeal and show you care.
- Choose gifts that rekindle memories of shared experiences for emotional value and lasting joy. These do not need to be elaborate or expensive. A frame with a photograph of a vacation with family and friends can bring years of appreciation to the receiver.
