Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE: FRT) announced that five new retailers have signed leases at the newly completed Darien Commons.
The new tenants include Bareburger (2,474 square feet), an eatery featuring all-natural sustainable burgers, greens and more; Cosmo’s Bagels & Café (1,557 square feet), a locally owned establishment serving bagels, breakfast, coffee, burgers and other items; La Source (1,609 square feet), an apparel retailer offering an array of crafted bodywear for women; Sparklicious (1,531 square feet), the first Connecticut location for the provider of crafts, parties and sparklers; and Zen Cha Matcha (1,197 square feet), a new café featuring a menu of matcha lattes and a fusion of matcha and adaptogenic elixirs.
Federal Realty added the majority of ground floor retail spaces is now leased. Darien Commons encompasses 75,000 square feet of new retail space along with 122 luxury apartments, which are 95% leased. To celebrate the new Darien Commons development, the company is hosting a community event on Oct. 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with free activities including face-painting, music, giveaways and retailer showcases.
